1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Velox AI ("Velox AI," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit velox.ai (the "Site"). It applies to the Site only. It does not apply to third-party websites, or to customer applications or production services that Velox AI may provide under a separate agreement.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Your name, email address, and company name when you request early access or contact us.
  • The topic, message, or project challenge you submit.
  • Your first name and email address when you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Your consent choices and the date and time you submit a form.

We may also collect standard technical information automatically when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, requested URL, referring page, and timestamps. Our web server and hosting provider may record this information in logs for security, reliability, and diagnostic purposes.

We do not ask for and do not want you to send sensitive personal information, such as government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or precise geolocation, through the Site.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your request, question, or message.
  • Evaluate and follow up on early access requests.
  • Send the newsletter you asked to receive.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
  • Create aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.

4. Legal bases

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for newsletter subscriptions and any other consent-based processing); our legitimate interests (to respond to inquiries, operate and secure the Site, and improve our services); and legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies on the Site. The Site's forms are submitted directly to our server, and newsletter delivery is handled by Mailchimp after you submit the form. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technology to serve and secure the Site. If we add analytics or other cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers that help us operate the Site, such as hosting, email, and newsletter providers (including Mailchimp), subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, when needed.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. In general:

  • Early access and contact form submissions are kept until the request is resolved and for up to 24 months afterward, unless a longer period is needed for a legal obligation or dispute.
  • Newsletter subscription information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Server logs are kept for a limited period, generally no more than 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
  • Deletion requests and related records may be kept as needed to honor your request and demonstrate compliance.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with the Site is no longer secure, contact us at privacy@velox.ai.

9. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as standard contractual clauses. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your country.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise a right, contact privacy@velox.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

For deletion requests, see our Data Deletion page.

11. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to designate an authorized agent. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of consumers under 16. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@velox.ai.

12. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@velox.ai and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as posting a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after the updated policy is posted means you accept the updated policy.
